PreMą | Haiku, etc. | Day 6

No reins, no blinders
Full bloom overflows with love
Spill the world with it.

unconditional love

Learning how to love is the goal and the purpose of spiritual life — not learning how to develop psychic powers, not learning how to bow, chant, do yoga, or even meditate, but learning to love. Love is the truth. Love is the light. ~ Lama Surya Das

Dream Awake

As it comes to pass
the end of a soulful journey,
among the many yet to come.
The minutes ticking slowly
towards my flight back home.
The feeling inside me
of life at a wondrous height;
Carrying it in my heart…

I hear people often say
“Back to reality”,
when such time is done.
I pause to wonder at such words,
and ask,
“Why? Was it all an illusion then?”
Where were you all this time?”

Namaste. =)

    1. I apologize for the very late reply! I read and totally forgot… the travel bug was still attached 😉

      Your phrase sounds more adequate than referring to it as reality. Most of us go to work in a zone, dragging ourselves – this is horrible and ultimately, will bury anyone so deep. We may not have the best jobs in the world, but we are not our jobs. We let ourselves not be defined by it.

      And I’ve been back since writing this post and the ones before. It felt more real when I can tune out the internet during my one week of training, and decided to recall the days after. felt sweeter…
      Thank you again! =)

    1. I have Alzheimer’s – have I mentioned that? 😉
      Pardon my lateness, Rob… but yes! A lot of things around often intrigued me and I ask a lot of ‘whys’.
