“Looking at my life
I see that only Love
Has been my soul’s companion
From deep inside
My soul cries out:
Do not wait, surrender
For the sake of Love.” ~ Rumi

There are moments that come as a surprise
And somehow the sun has ceased to rise
Dull and bleak, the world has become
And life within turned into a humdrum.

How does one learn to ever let go
The once enraptured star receiving such a blow
Staggering in murk where cold and fog exists
The path unknown, a maze with all its twists.

I held this star as it weeps for me
Her heart once sheltered in a marquee
Her soul once shielded with a mantle
Now the only gleam left is but a flickering candle.

The heart is saddened feeling its loss
The soul is crippled from a chasm of chaos
Flickering in remaining sparks to keep from falling
The sounds of its tears, unending weeping.

The star is her heart that opened up to you
The star is her soul, vulnerable and true
Without its glimmer, the absence of essence
Her heart and soul, a star fallen in silence.

  1. I love this post, especially the picture quote at the end. “To be fully alive, fully human, and completely awake is to be continually thrown out of the nest. To live fully is to be always in no-man’s-land, to experience each moment as completely new and fresh.

To live is to be willing to die over and over again. ”

    So true.

    1. Not too many people can appreciate these words. For most, getting used to that comfort zone and staying in there for the rest of their lives is what living is for them. I often get mixed emotions how to deal with them – either I encourage them more or be sad…

Thank you for visiting here. =)
